plant based food: Heart Conditioning

Just listened to an Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn's interview on radio NZ and I was really impressed with his talk. He emphasized that future of health and body fitness doesn't depend on inventing another pill but reversing our life style. His point of view is moving towards totally vegetarian life style. I have heard a lot about this but what surprised me that he is against dairy products and all kind of oils including olive oil. According to him, it is best to get so called omega3s and B1s from plant based natural sources rather than fish, meat or dairy products. He cited numerous statistics to prove his point. One of the interesting ones was about Norway. When Germans took all their live stock during WWII, Norwegians had to live on plant based food for many years and that was the time when Norwegians had minimum deaths by heart attack. He talks of Nitric acid which help blood flow in our arteries, are totally destroyed by meat based food. His book "Prevent and reverse heart disease is a major success and the snow ball effect against non vegetarian food finally seems to have started. Apart from heart conditioning plant based food work as weight loss supplements and you don't have to join any quick weight loss programs or to follow any Healthy weight loss diet plan.
